Practicing Body Gratitude

Practicing Gratitude For Your Body and Your Health

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It turns a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

Beginning your day by acknowledging all you are thankful for will create an overall sense of contentment and happiness about your life, as well as set the tone for a positive outlook on the day ahead. Find gratitude in the things about you that make you, you and acknowledge and appreciate all the wonderful strengths that you have and their positive influence on those around you. Even the smallest things you have to offer to make a big difference in the lives of others.

Recognize that each healthy choice you make is because you love your body and want to honor it with actions that will respect its miraculous existence and promote it’s overall health, longevity, strength, endurance, and energy.

Reward yourself for all the hard work you have done. Even if your bigger goals have not been met, it is important to recognize and celebrate your small successes along the way. Make sure to take the time to do something for yourself along the way to your bigger goals.
