Mexico Orphanage Mission

Chiropractic Care for the Whole Family

My family and I had the opportunity to spend Spring Break with our friends at S.O.W. Ministries, visiting and working with several Orphanages, giving in what small ways we could. My two boys gave their time and talents playing soccer, skateboarding with the children, doing art with them, putting on dance parties and playing legos and games with them. My husband helped cook, play and connect with the kids ( and helped with dance parties too!). I was able to provide Chiropractic care to the Directors and Orphans of 2 different Orphanages and worked at a local clinic for a day, giving Gonstead Chiropractic to many locals, who would not have otherwise received it. To me, there is great satisfaction and joy in being able to help someone in need, when they are not in a position to pay you back. While we have used our own resources and have given our time and energy to fill a need, we have reaped tremendous rewards that are not monetary.

Obviously, it is very difficult to share all we experienced, but there are always big lessons to learn on trips like these. At times it can seem like I am not accomplishing very much, as the need is overwhelming and it is impossible to follow up with these people abroad, however, it continues to amaze me, the impact and difference that can be made in just one visit, when the power of love and intent is there. To give of ourselves in the small ways that we can, to those who are in need, even if for just a short time, can have lasting effects. During this trip, in particular, God really impressed upon me, how many blessings I, myself, receive from doing this work. As I worked with each individual, I saw and felt how much they desperately needed the care and how sincerely they appreciated what I did, and felt God was not only using my hands to benefit them but also using their lives to touch me as well. I come away from this trip so thankful. Thankful for the experience, my ability, and energy to give, the hands I have to touch and heal and for the giving hearts of family I have.

Thank you for allowing me to share my adventures with you and always being supportive of me and time out of the office, for trips as these.

In Love and Health,

Dr. Taglio DC
